October 08, 1948 - July 10, 2021
Ted Lanman, born October 8, 1948, completed his final mission and was called home on July 10, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 47 years and the love of his life Thelma, his daughter, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother, sister and so many others. Those who knew Ted, knew that his love for his family and his love for his country was strong and unwavering. After graduating from John R. Rogers High School in 1968, Ted enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country for 4 years until an injury sent Quartermaster 2nd Class Ted Lanman stateside. It wasn’t long after, that Ted’s next mission as an amazingly dedicated husband and father began. Ted’s skills as a pilot and aviation mechanic took him and his family to Arizona, where he ran a successful business and worked with some of the worlds most elite aerobic teams. After 7 years, it was Ted’s love of family that moved him back to Spokane to be near and care for his aging mother. Ted enjoyed watching sports, especially when his grandchildren were playing, camping, fishing and spending countless afternoons on his front porch with Thelma. Please join family and friends in honoring Ted’s life on July 30, 2021 at 9:45am at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, in Medical Lake, WA. Small private gathering to follow.
