Van Orman, Stanley Lane July 26, 1937 – January 7, 2023 Stanley Lane Van Orman passed away on January 7, 2023 at the age of 85, peacefully in his sleep. He is preceded in death and joins his wife Janet of 41 years, his father Stanley, mother Helen, his sisters Vennetta and LaVonne, and numerous cousins he grew up with. He is survived by his two sisters, Roberta & Jackie. He was born in Everett, Washington and eventually moved to the Spokane Area. He has three sons Lane (Cindy) of Spokane Valley, Darren (Wendy) of Liberty Lake, and Clinton (Bunny) of California. Stan worked for International Harvester Trucking for 40 plus years as a Parts Manager using his incredible gift of organization. His life reflected who he was— an avid hunter, loved fishing, four wheeling, was a boxing coach for North East Youth Center, ran marathons, drove stock cars, and played the drums and vocals in a band. He became a new believer in Jesus Christ and involved with his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was well-known for his story telling and entertaining his (8) grandchildren and (14) great grandchildren. We appreciate the loving support of Spokane Hospice in these final days. Please join us in his celebration of life on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Fairmont Memorial Cemetery 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99205.
