Sharon Yvonne Wint (Hurst) at age 72 passed away Friday, November 2nd, 2018. Born on November 15, 1945 to Edmund and Alzina Hurst in Port Angeles, WA. Sharon and her mother moved to Spokane in 1953 after the loss of her father. Sharon spent many summers at her family’s Deer Park farm, making many fond memories, which she spoke of often. In 1964, Sharon graduated from Lewis and Clark High School of Spokane. Sharon graduated from Spokane Community College in 1966 with an Associate in Applied Science. Soon after, she began working at Spokane’s Spokesman Review, a career she enjoyed for several years. On April 15, 1969, Sharon married Arnold H. Wint of Spokane. Sharon enjoyed multiple hobbies including cake decorating; scrapbooking; mint molding and stamping to name a few. Sharon also enjoyed organizing, decorating and throwing birthday and holiday parties for her family. Throughout her life, Sharon supported her community by volunteering for many organizations including Job’s Daughter’s and Campfire Girls among many others. Sharon was an active member of Valley Landmark Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years where she served in many roles including church secretary and Sunday School Teacher. Survived by her husband of 49 years, Arnold, daughter Julie Anne (Kevin) and son Jeffrey and preceded in death by her father Edmund Hurst and mother Alzina Margaret Hurst (Enman) and half-sister June Bachmann. Memorial service will be held at Valley Landmark Missionary Baptist Church on December 15th, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Sharon will be interred at Greenwood Memorial Terrace prior to the service.
