Rosalie Marlene Coleman

March 14, 1940 - August 12, 2024


Rosalie (Roz) Marlene Coleman (Gross), 84 years old of Otis Orchards, WA, passed away on August 12, 2024. 


Rosalie was born on March 14, 1940, to Joseph and Doris Gross in Coeur D’Alene, ID. After Rosalie graduated from Holy Names Academy in 1958, she married Ralph Long. Rosalie and Ralph went on to have 6 children: Marvin, Glen, Jeffrey, Kevin, Bethany and Jason. She and Ralph were married for 8 years. 


Rosalie worked as a nurses-aide at Valley Hospital and later continued working as a caregiver. As her children got older, Rosalie got a job at Johnson Matthey where she met the love of her life and husband, Donald Coleman. 


Rosalie and Donald were married on July 18, 1981. Rosalie welcomed his 3 daughters, Bonnie, Teresa, Christine as her own. 


In 1999, Rosalie retired and spent her time reading, camping, gardening, doing crafts, watching Jeopardy and ice skating. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed decorating her house with chickens and clowns. She loved animals, music, and cooking. 


Rosalie was preceded by her husband Donald Coleman, parents Joe and Doris Gross, son Marvin Long, brother Joe Gross, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great-granddaughter. She is survived by her children: Glen (Natalie), Jeffrey (Michele), Kevin, Bethany (Johnny), Jason, Bonnie, Teresa (Larry), Christine. 36 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also, her sisters Claire, Yvonne, Barbara, and Jeannie and their families. 


Services will be held at North Bridge Church, 22421 E Euclid Ave. Otis Orchards, WA 99027 on September 21, 2024, at 11:00 am.
