1935 - 2024
Born in Bloomfield, Ohio to Newell S. Knouff and Olive A. (Porter) Knouff. Brothers were Gerald B. Knouff, Donald P. Knouff and Paul E. Knouff.
Bob was a graduate of Centerburg High School, Columbus Business College (class president) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University. Bob served in the United States Marine Corps and achieved the rank of Buck Sergeant.
Bob was an entrepreneur owning businesses Ohio Sealcoat and Knouff and Knouff, Inc. He worked most of his career as a marine contractor. He designed and installed dockage systems in national parks across the country.
Bob has always loved sports and kids. He coached many little league baseball and football teams. He served as the president of the Hilliard Baseball Association. He was a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Known for his kindness and sense of humor, Bob made friends easily wherever he went. He was also a walker and lover of animals and nature.
Surviving him are his three children Kelly Lynn Knouff-Burk, Gerald Bradley Knouff and Sadie Ann Knouff, his grandchildren Olivia A. Bruce, Lisa M Futch, Melody N. Golding, Holly M. Knouff and Jessica M. Knouff as well as several great grandchildren.
Services for Robert will be held at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery at 21702 W Espanola Rd. Medical Lake, WA 90022 on July 29th at 1:00pm with a gathering of family and friends to follow beginning at 1:45pm at the Airway Heights Longhorn BBQ.
