Robert (Bob) Maurice MacEachern, 84, of Spokane WA, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 23, 2025, after a long battle with Dementia. He was, for 61 years, the loving husband of Kathryn MacEachern. Together, they raised five sons who will miss their father tremendously. Bob was a kind and compassion man with a quick sense of humor. He befriended the people on his postal route and would help anyone in need.
Born April 11th, 1940 in Boston MA, he was the son of the late Fred and Hannah MacEachern. One sister Joan Cleary (Fran) predeceased him. Bob served in the United States Air Force followed by 45 years working for the United States Postal Service in Charleston SC and Spokane WA.
When not working, Bob was an avid bowler and enjoyed golf. He followed all college and professional sports, a passion he shared with his sons.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two sisters, Jane Scudder (John) and Judy Rutherford (Jim) both of The Villages Florida. His sons, Michael MacEachern of Milledgeville Ga; Charles MacEachern (Tammy) Florence SC; Daniel MacEachern (Jen) Knoxville TN; Joseph MacEachern (Carol) Hanahan SC; Peter MacEachern (Christina) Wilmington NC. Five grandchildren, Megan Phillips (Jon); Amber Graham (Justin) Brian MacEachern; Brad MacEachern (Kayla), Mattthew MacEachern (McKenzie); and five Great Grand Children Sophia, Crawford, Noah, Porter, and Noah.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to The Spokane Valley Health & Rehab of Cascadia along with the many home health care professionals that made it possible for Bob to stay at home for the last four years. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County or the charity of your choice.
Services will be Private.
Our condolences and love go out to Kathy and all the family for the loss of their dear husband and father Bob. May his kind and generous spirit continue to surround them all with his warmth and love, always.
So Sad to hear about Uncle Bob my God Father. Wish we could have spent more time together ❤️.
