MORRIS, Rachel (Rae) F. (Age 82) Rachel (Rae) F. Morris, gave up her fight against cancer on January 9, 2013. She was born on June 21, 1930 in Douglas County and moved with her family to Spokane in her early years. She graduated from North Central High School in 1948 and married Wesley Scott Morris shortly after. They moved into the Elk/Chattaroy area with their two daughters on June 28, 1960. She was known for her beautiful afghans which she donated to the Elk Fire Departments ""Elk Days"" raffles, to Wishing Star, and many area nursing homes. She enjoyed making baby afghans and hats, which she donated to many area hospitals for new parents to take home on their newborns. Rae and her family also gave them as gifts to friends and new mothers all over the world. She was a busy active person, who enjoyed bowling on the Darigold ""Mixed Doubles"" teams, and loved her job and the people during her many years as a meat wrapper for Masons Custom Meats at Diamond Lake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Scott Morris, and brothers, Roy and Les Marlow. She is survived by brothers Jack and Gail Marlow, daughters Linda (Bill) Childs and Rosana (Steve) Hause, granddaughters Stacie and Shari, and ""adopted"" family Steve and Mary
