NaVay H. (Severson) Geary, 84, our dear Mother, Grandma and friend, peacefully passed away after a short illness on October 30, 2024 in Spokane, Washington.
NaVay was born to James and Corinne Severson, in Onalaska, Wisconsin on May 25, 1940. She grew up in a large fun-loving family. Graduate of Holmen High School Class of 1958.
NaVay’s working career started at Trane Company as a keypunch operator and she had several secretarial jobs throughout her career. Later in life she managed the family-owned business Tastee Freeze. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She enjoyed sports, was an avid curler, and occasional golfer. NaVay was a big fan, and loved watching the Green Bay Packers, as well as college Football and Basketball supporting U of Wisconsin and Gonzaga.
Navay is survived by her daughter Pamela (David) Repking, sons; Ross Bennett and Michael Bennett and grandchildren; Madeline, Emma, Sean and Kailey. As well her brother, James Severson and sister, Bonnie (late Terry) Kleist. NaVay was a fond Aunt and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
NaVay was preceded in death by her parents, James and Corinne Severson, sisters; Lovaday Severson, Lavon Ehm, Janice Panther, brother, Ronald Severson and husband Daniel Geary.
She will be missed by many and her beautiful memories always cherished, especially her Norwegian humor. A private family memorial service will take place later.
