In Loving Memory of Monica Lynn Carpenter Bauer
Monica Lynn Carpenter Bauer, a devoted wife, caring mother, and beloved sister, passed away on January 16th after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was 50 years old and resided in Spokane, Washington.
Monica was born to Laurel Karr and John Carpenter, and she spent her formative years on Hatter Creek outside of Princeton, Idaho. She graduated from Potlatch High School in 1991 and went on to follow her passion for caregiving.
Throughout the years, Monica dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to the elderly, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at various care facilities in the region.
Her genuine warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on those she cared for.
Monica was preceded in death by her mother, Laurel Karr, and her beloved baby, Katelyn Sherre and grandparents Bob and Mary Carpenter, Grandfather Norm Karr. She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank "Pat" Bauer of Spokane, Washington; her father, John (Ruthie) Carpenter of Harvard, Idaho; sisters Hiedi (Pat) of Harvard, Idaho, and Cody (Seth) of Islamorada, Florida; her son Michael (April) of Spokane, Washington; daughter Shauna of Spokane, Washington; Grandmother, Shirley Palmer-Karr; 5 beautiful grandchildren; and her cherished Dachshund, Luna.
Monica's resilience and strength were evident throughout her life. She will be laid to rest at the Viola Cemetery next to her beloved baby, Katelyn Sherre. A memorial service to celebrate Monica's life will be held in the spring near the Viola Cemetery.
The family appreciates the support and condolences during this difficult time. May Monica rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth she shared so generously with others.
