June 11, 1954 - September 15, 2021
Moore, Michael Lee (Age 67) Mike was born on June 11, 1954, in Fort Bragg, NC, to Carl and Georgia Moore. Michael passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2021, in Spokane, WA. He was 67 years old. Mike grew up in California for most of his childhood and then later as a teen moved to the Seattle area before landing in Spokane in 1971. Mike graduated from University High School in Spokane Valley in 1972. Shortly thereafter Mike enlisted in the Army as a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne division. Upon his return from the service Mike moved home to Spokane and worked for his father framing houses in the Spokane area. Mike later worked for ISC and Altek before joining Keytronic in 1990 as a quality control Engineer. Mike retired from Keytronic in June of 2017 after 27 years with the company. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Georgia Moore; and sister Renee Grier. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kate Moore, Spokane, WA; brother Randi Moore (Tamera), Spokane, WA; brother-in-law Alan Grier, Grand Coulee, WA; daughter Amanda Garcia (Omar) and grandchildren Lucas, Isabella, Lily, and Sophia, Wilmington, NC; son Michael P. Moore (Aimee) and grandchildren Christian, and Trey, Goldsboro, NC; son Chris Moore (RaeAnn) and grandson Bowan, Spokane, WA; daughter Kim Dodds (Alex) and grandchildren Teegan, and Kinslee, Spokane, WA; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws. Mike was an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting, fishing, boating, and coaching his children’s sports. In retirement Mike always kept busy whether it be helping his family with projects or taking his grandchildren to school every day “Papa Daycare”. Mike, or “Papa” as the grandchildren called him, was truly all about family and loved spending everyday with his children and grandchildren. Mike’s unmistakable laugh, smile, and sense of humor will forever be remembered by anyone he touched. Thank you for all of the support from our family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who are helping us through this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
