Michael Jay Kokko

Michael Jay Kokko, 68, of Spokane, Washington, died of cardiac arrest on November 5, 2024.

He was born in Everett, Washington, in 1956 to Don and Mary Kokko and grew up in Marysville, Washington, with his sister, Sandy, and brother, Jerry. Mike attended Pilchuck High School before joining the Army, where he served four years.

Mike married his wife of 40 years, Krista, in 1984 and settled in Vancouver, Washington, to raise their two children, Jakob and Gretchen.




In 2007 Mike and Krista relocated to Spokane, Washington, where Mike became a long-standing member of

Kelly Brady’s IT department.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, mother, son, and brother.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, and sister.

Donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, where Mike once served as a member of the Washington State Board, are appreciated.
