Maxine Esta Mumau went into her Lords care on May 14,2017 in her home town of Spokane, Washington. She was born on April 8,1928 in Millboro, South Dakota, to Frank and Lillian Daman. Frank and Lillian started their family in South Dakota and then moved to northern Idaho. Maxine attended school in Desmet and Plummer, ID. Maxine was married to Lynn Mumau on July 30,1945 in Couer D Alene, ID. In 1966 Maxine moved to Spokane, Washington to attend Spokane Community College to further her education and raise her family. Maxine worked as a checker and was a member of the retail clerks union until her retirement. Maxine was an avid quilter and seamstress, she made numerous quilts, wall hangings, and clothes for family and friends. She also was an active church member throughout her life. Maxine is survived by, sons, Daren (Sharon) and Arlynn, four Grandchildren, five Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn, parents, Frank and Lillian, and all her brothers and sisters. She is going to be missed by all who knew her. A Memorial service will be held at The Pines Mausoleum Chapel, 122116 E 16th Ave Spokane Valley, WA 99206, on June 17th, at 11:00 AM. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Maxines name can be made to The Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E. Trent Ave, Spokane, WA. 99202.
