Mary Louise Geyer, born on February 14, 1962, in Anacortes, Washington, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. She was the youngest of seven daughters born to Vern Ferguson and Lorene Ferguson.
Mary spent her early years enjoying life along the beautiful Washington coast. In the early 1980s, she earned her cosmetology license and later moved to Alaska to work at a fish processing facility. It was there that she met her future husband, whom she married in 1985. The couple eventually settled in Spokane, Washington, where they raised two beautiful children together before divorcing in 2013.
Mary worked as a hairdresser for 15 years before transitioning to a position at Fred Meyer in North Spokane, where she worked for another decade. Known for her kind, gentle, and trusting nature, Mary had a heart full of love that she shared generously with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her father Vern Ferguson; mother Lorene Ottesen; step-father Henry Ottesen and sisters Julie, Shirley, Patty, and Susan. She is survived by her sisters Sally Beckmann and Barbara Collins; her daughter Alexandra (Aaron) Sills and son Robert Geyer; her beloved grandson Thomas (11) and beautiful granddaughters Laura (9), and Maddi (5); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Mary’s warmth and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
A graveside service is scheduled for April 26th, 2025 in Fairfield, WA.
