August 05, 1946 - September 29, 2016
Linda gracefully and peacefully lost her 4 1/2-year battle with cancer on September 29, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 5, 1946 to Charles and Earlene Trueax in Missoula Montana where she learned to love the outdoors; moved to Southern California in 1956 where she spent her teen years and settled in Spokane in 1966. She married Steve Zwarg in 1990. Steve and Linda were very active members of the Antique and Classic Boat Society where they made many, very dear, friends and won numerous awards for their 1942 Chris Craft runabout. Linda was truly a beautiful, classy and kind-hearted lady. She loved her family deeply and continues to be an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Her kindness and generosity of spirit were obvious at the recent celebration of her 70th birthday where friends and family shared heart-warming stories of how Linda has had a positive affect on their lives. She and Steve spent the last 4 years going on many adventurous cruises with Steve's sister, Anne Henshaw and her husband Bob, including the Panama Canal, Mexican Rivera and New England, where they had a brush with Hurricane Sandy. - Linda is preceded in death by her father Charles; survived by husband Steve; daughters Beth Johnson (Jim) and Zoe Boysen; mother Earlene Wetzel; sisters Charlene Robley (Don), Jean Duhaime (David), and Kathy Olson; granddaughters Alyssa, Whitney and Elise; step-children Sherry, Steve, Shane and Corey; numerous step-grandchildren, cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Hospice of Spokane for the amazing care she received. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10, 11:00am at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane WA 99224. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
