Larry Ralph Wilburn

June 7, 1960 - January 10, 2024

Larry Ralph Wilburn June 7, 1960 - January 10, 2024

In loving memory of Larry Ralph Wilburn, born on June 7th, 1960, in Ronan, Montana, to Harold and Barbara Wilburn. He peacefully departed this world on January 10th, 2024, at the age of 63, surrounded by his family.

Larry's early years were spent on a small farm along the Kootenai River in Libby, Montana. Following his education at Libby High School, he embarked on a construction career across Montana. His journey took him to various cities, where he found love, married Donna, and was blessed with four beautiful children.

Eventually, Larry made Spokane, Washington, his home, achieving success in selling rock crushers for Spokane Machinery, though later parting ways with his wife. Shortly after his divorce, he started his own company, Western Wear Parts & Equipment, where he found great success selling rock crushers until his retirement. He lived the remainder of his life in Spokane, raising his children.

Larry was the life of the party. He loved country music, boating, woodworking, gardening, and most importantly, his Gonzaga Bulldogs. Following retirement, Larry rediscovered a lifelong passion – restoring cars. He dedicated his golden years to acquiring and reviving classic cars, a pursuit he cherished until his final moments.

Larry is survived by the mother of his children, Donna Wilburn; his children, Larry Wilburn, Kaitlyn (Kevin) Crider, Tanner Wilburn, and Koby (Nicole) Wilburn; grandchildren, Dominic and Makenna Crider; and siblings, Linda (Gary) Masterson, Bob (Barbara) Wilburn, Scot Wilburn, Jerry Wilburn, and Karen (Henry) Nelson. Additionally, he is mourned by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Barbara Wilburn; and sister, Leslie Morin.

In this time of remembrance, Larry's lasting impact is felt not only within the immediate family, but also among the extended network of relatives and friends who share in the collective sorrow of his passing. As we honor his memory, let us find solace in the cherished moments he shared with us and the legacy that will live on through the lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Covenant United Methodist Church: 15515 North Gleneden Drive, Spokane, WA, 99208. A celebration of life will be shortly after at 1:00 PM at The Boxcar Room: 116 W Pacific Ave #100, Spokane, WA 99201.
