On July 31st Joe Kovolyan passed away suddenly while as a Chief Engineer and Boiler operator performing what he was professionally known for. Making sure the job was done right, while making his coworkers laugh, mentoring others and bringing peace of mind to management that everything was in good hands. He loved being outdoors enjoying , camping trail exploring ,cutting firewood fishing ,target shooting and just enjoying his family and much-loved fur baby Hank. His young age and many accomplishments ,stories and experiences from night shifts in Olympia WA to his time as Chief boiler operator of Yellowstone National Park Joe was both a well-known and respected part of the Boiler operators and engineers throughout the Pacific Northwest. Family was everything to Joe. He was always there for everyone and ready to help with anything anyone needed. His sense of humor, wit and personality kept everyone entertained and stories we will share for many years. An amazing son ,brother, husband, uncle, grandson, and friend. He leaves behind his Wife Amanda Kovolyan, Mother and Father Joe and Pattie Kovolyan his sister and nephew Hannah Kovolyan and Mark Beck, father and mother-in-law JT and Kerry Neal , brother and sister-in-law Kameron and Julia Neal along with many grandparents, aunts' uncles, and cousins. In lieu of cards or flowers we are in the process of establishing a memorial scholarship fund in Joe's name to help future journeyman apprentices to earn their boiler certifications. Contributions until then can be made at the following go fund me page. https://gofund.me/d9d72fab Joe was always mentoring and supporting others to succeed and with this memorial scholarship his legacy will continue
