John Lowell Bennett

February 21, 1932 - December 27, 2016

BENNETT, John L. (Age 84) - Our dad, John L. Bennett, was born February 21, 1932 in Lincoln, NE, and passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on December 27, 2016 in Spokane. He was greeted by his wife Eldeen Dee Bennett, daughter, Diana and son, Russell who had been awaiting his arrival. Left to carry on his legacy are sons, Randy (Nina) and Richard (Sarah) Bennett, daughters, Beth (Bruce) Oiland, Cheryl (Jeff) Owens and Connie (Scott) LeLaCheur. Grandpa Bennett had 17 wonderful grandchildren, 11 amazing great-grandchildren with one due in July and 3 precious great-great-granddaughters! Dad honorably served our country during the Korean War in the Air Force (4 yrs) and the Washington Air National Guard (3 yrs). At his passing he was the eldest charter member of the V.F.W. Post #3067 in Deer Park. He also served many years as various officers and as trustee at the Deer Park F.O.E. #3564. Our dad was kind, sweet, loving, humble and generous. Although our hearts are sad, we rejoice in the noble legacy he has left for us to follow. Dad, we love you and will always remember.... We will honor you and mom. A memorial service for our dad will be held in early May.
