Updated: 3 days ago

November 14, 1931 - February 6, 2025

A lifetime resident of Spokane, WA, Jerry sadly lost his battle with cancer on February 6, 2025, with his family by his side.  He was born on November 14, 1931.

Jerry graduated from John Rogers High School, class of 1950, then joined the Air Force and proudly served his country for four years.  He continued his career with Kaiser Aluminum – Mead Plant over the next 38 years.  He still had cherished friendships with coworkers.  Jerry and his first wife, Nancy, had four children.  In 1962 he married Pat and they had three children.

Throughout his life, Jerry was competitive in all hobbies he pursued including cards, fishing, hunting, racquetball, basketball, golf, and raising champion Vizsla hunting dogs.  He was best known for winning the annual Fourth of July Twin Lakes, ID family cornhole tournament.  Jerry was blessed by a loving family that he was extremely proud of.

Jerry was preceded in death by brothers Jack and Jim Donais; sister Joyce Schultz; and sons Terry and Glen Donais.  He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughters Janet Howell, Julie (Cal) Ryen, and Patti (Clint) Marvel; sons Mark (Megan) Donais, and Don (Joyce) Donais; sister Sherry (Todd) Donais Wilson; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Jerry in his final days.  In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Horizon Hospice.

Please join us for a celebration of Jerry’s life at Sunset Chapel, 5200 W Wellesley, Spokane, WA, Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Rest in peace Papa!  You will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
