Jason Ray Smith 12/15/1976 Minot, ND Jason moved to Spokane when he weas 1 ½ years old. He attended Shiloh Hills Elementary School, Northwood Middle School, and Mead High School, where he graduated from in 1995. He attended SCC to play basketball but did not stay. Growing up, Jason’s first love was soccer. He played for the Spokane Sabers. As he got older and grew taller, he started playing basketball. He was asked by Len Long to play basketball for a team that Len coached. This started Jason’s basketball journey. He continued to play soccer for the Sabers. Jason made the All-City basketball team while playing for Mead High School. He was also selected to play in the State High School All Star Games. Jason worked for Sears, Home Depot, and Comcast, which he was employed for 22 years and dedicated to his job, Jason was a home body and loved to play video games and work with his electrical gadgets which he had along with his remote-control card. Jason was known to help people whenever there was a need. Jason is survived by his parents Reginald & Dixie Smith, Sister Januari Brown (Chad), nephew Tahlyke Smith Chenevert (Tarra), Grand Nieces Alari, Zhanessa, Harper, Grand nephews Amir, Jamari, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ronald McDonald House or Vanessa Behan here in Spokane.
