Charles Alan Cook

January 24, 1939 - April 24, 2013

Went home to be with the lord on April 24th 2013. Born January 24,1939 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Alice (100 yrs old) and preceded by death Charles Cook and two brothers Roland and Ken. Survived by Joan D Cook of 50 yrs of marriage. Children Alan L(Justina) Cook, Kenneth R Cook, Preceded by death Jamie D Cook, Kevin C (Leigh) Cook, Melinda D Cook,13 Grandchildren: Angelic,Jason,Jessica,Jesse,Christian,Nicole,Calvin,Ethan,Domanic,Audrey,Bree,Terrance,Zeb 4 Great Grandchildren: Makila,Caden,Kenleigh and Rashaya. He graduated from Grants Pass High School 1957 and marched in the Rose bowl parade in 1957. He was in the air force for 6 years in Fairchild, Thule Greenland and Denver Colorado as an air policeman. He enjoyed bowling and bowled A 300 game and won the city Bowling Tourament for 3 man in 1997, fishing and Gonzaga basketball ticket holder. Cooking was his best hobby. He was a wonderful Husband, Dad and Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend. With special Thanks to his special friends and all the nurses and doctors at the VA Hospital(Dr Saw). He will surely be missed by all. Memorial service will be held on May 11th between 1 & 3 at VFW on 300 W Mission Ave
