Bonnie Joan Phillipy

April 07, 1932 - August 04, 2015

Born on April 5, 1932 to Inez and Claude Gardner, a beautiful little girl, in Cass County, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school in Pine River, Minnesota, graduating from Pine River High School. In 1950 she arrived in Spokane, Washington and lived with a girlfriend. She then met her husband Mark. Not intending on marrying, they spent 3 years before deciding to do so on June 13, 1953. Bonnie has now earned her wings and halo, she is ready to enter another world with open arms. Standing at the Golden Gates is her family; mother Inez Gardner (Weitzman); siblings, Donald, Virgil, and Luceil Gardner. As she leaves this world behind, she leaves her loving husband Mark W. Phillipy; children, Gary L., Mark Steven, Robin R., and Misty Phillipy (Williams); grandchildren Ryan R., James I., and Crystal M. Williams; nephews, Daryl, Mathew, and Robert Gardner; nieces Elizabeth, Tina, and Jarine (Jackson) Gardner; as well as her brothers-in-law, Larry (Lynn), Keith (Nancy), David (Carol), and all of their children. Bonnie always loved traveling and has traveled to many places. She toured France, Spain, and Montecarlo, Italy. She also had many trips to Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Acapulco. She traveled many times with friends and family to Hawaii and back home to Pine River. Her and Mark also traveled Europe and all 50 states together. Bonnie spent a lot of time just being at home with family and also loved to ski, bowl, and swim. We all love her and will miss her. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11 from 10 am – 5 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
