April 24, 1930 - October 20, 2024
Beverly Ann Hettinger passed away peacefully in her home of 66 years, into the loving arms of Jesus, on October 20, 2024, at the age of 94.
Beverly was born to Bevan and Laura Cochran on April 24, 1930, in Yankton, South Dakota. She was the oldest survivor of 7 siblings.
Her family eventually moved to Spokane where she grew up and attended John R. Rogers high school.
It was in Spokane, while working as an usherette at the movie theater, she met the love of her life, Jack Hettinger. At that time Jack told his friend that someday he was going to marry that girl. They were married in Spokane on May 29, 1948, and lived life to the fullest for 63 years until Jack’s passing in 2011. They had two children, Sharon Buckenberger (Buck) and Marla Marsh (Jay).
She received much love and enjoyment from her 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted Green Bay Packers and Gonzaga Women’s Basketball fan and attended many of the Gonzaga games. She also enjoyed her crafts, working in her yard, shopping, going to yard sales, and bowling on a league with her mother for many years.
Beverly had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh and was loved by many.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Jack Hettinger and her daughter Sharon Buckenberger.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm at New Horizons Community Church, 3122 W. Lincoln Road, Spokane, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
