April 04, 1939 - August 20, 2018
Aubrey Lee Williams (Age 79) passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018 in his own home with family around him. He was born on April 4, 1939 in Corinth, MS. Aubrey married his wife, Jane A. Coker in 1955 at age 15 and she remained the light of his life for 63 years. Shortly after marriage, he joined the Air Force and served at work stations, both domestic and abroad, for 20 years, including a 1-year tour in Viet Nam. After retiring from Service, Aubrey owned and operated a custom furniture upholstery business for 4 years and worked for the City of Spokane in Parking Enforcement for 10 years. Aubrey was an avid hunter and fisherman, and while landing that 5-pound bass or 4-point buck was important, the ultimate target was time spent with loved ones that he cherished most. And a good Fish Tale was always an added bonus. He is survived by his wife, Jane; his daughters, Jane, Linda and Susan; 3 son-in-laws, Cliff, Robert and Ben; 6 grandchildren, Janey, David, Amy, Aundraic, Jack, Josiah and Sarah; and 7 great grandchildren, Isis, Aidyn, Chandler, William, Melia, Matthew and Daniel. A small niche-side service will be held on Monday, August 27 at 10:30 AM at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley. A reception will be held at the family home for family and friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in his name. We will be creating a memory book of Aubrey’s adventures with friends and family. If you have a great story to share, please write it down and get it to us as soon as possible.
