Alta Jeanette Robeson

October 08, 1923 - January 17, 2017

ROBESON, Alta J. (Age 93) - Alta J. Robeson (Nee) Treat passed away quietly on January 17, 2017. Born October 8, 1923, in Priest River, ID, she was the first child of Guy and Ollie Walter. She graduated from Priest River High School and later attended Kinmen Business School in Spokane. - Alta proudly served in the US (Navy) Waves during WWII, being stationed in Washington D.C. and Bremerton. In December 1949 she married Pat Robeson and together they lived happily in Spokane until his death in 2005. - Alta was a longtime supporter of the Spokane Guild School. She worked tirelessly on tea parties, Santa breakfasts, penny drives and balloon sales to help support the school. She and Pat were avid RVers taking wonderful trips to Canada, Alaska and through the western United States collecting antiques as they went. - Alta was preceded in death by her husband Pat, her parents and sister Shirley. She is survived by her niece, nephews and great-nephew; Jewel, Jay, Chad and Jay Robeson of Bellevue and Sammamish. She is also survived by her niece and nephew Jan and Guy Wilhelmi of CDA and Tacoma and Bonnie Ballinger of Snohomish and Diane McAlpine in Olympia. - A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2017, at 2:30 pm in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spokane Guild School, 2118 West Garland Ave, Spokane, WA 99205.
